I am amazed how long it has been since I completed a post here aside from the entertaining ramblings of my little boys and their merriment or lack there of or these update-ish type post. It is not really for the lack of beginnings but any attempt or desire to polished or even complete with relatively accurate spelling and/or grammar has kept my thoughts from landing in the published posts department.
The boys are in general good health aside from a small case of sniffles they continue to try and overthrow the management in our home.
Kevin is still enjoying his work with all its perks and stresses, he and his classmates are in the throws of planning their check out party that involves the entire group of controllers and the staff at the ACC. It should be an interesting evening. I am looking forward to putting faces to the names and operating initials I have been hearing about for ages now.
Kev and I were blessed to have a couple of evenings to ourselves and so enjoyed an amazing restaurant suggested by many family and friends Cielo's(link below) it was an amazing tapas meal and the service and ambiance were impeccable. Thank you to our lovely friends Andrea and Bernadine who manned the young'uns while we escaped.
During a quick jaunt into the city to stroll on our old neighborhood and visit friends and establishments much missed especially during this rising holiday season we enjoyed for the first time a restaurant called Burgoo bistro (link below) they boast fantastic comfort food and should, it was a relaxed and hot savory meal. I only suggest if you are planning on gracing their patio in November (this was not our initial or expected intention) be sure to wear warm footwear the heat lamps and blankets don't quite do the trick for the toes. We then enjoyed birthday festivities at the beautiful home of Uncle John and Aunt Liz, it was a great night filled with laughter and easy conversation. I left feeling warm and fuzzy and looking forward to our next meeting.
As for myself, aside from the parenting and keeping us all in relative cleanliness (I use the term cleanliness freely it appears) I have put some of my energy into bikrams hot yoga and can say with pride I have stopped pretending to pass out during warrior pose, a great feat in my world. I also continue my journey in the world of Photoshop and have been able to put aside my labor breathing to keep from harming the machine and program at hand more frequently than before the Vancouver Photo Workshops class (link below)
anyways I will return to our usual black book entries and stop rambling on.
middle of the night...
G age 3.5:"do you have a heart?"
me: "yes"
G:"I don't have a heart"
Me: "yes you do it is right here" point at left side of his chest.
G: "does A. have a heart?"
Me:"yes"
G: "you?"
Me: wanting to go back to sleep "yes"
G: "daddy?"
Me: even more desperately wanting to go back to sleep "yes!"
G: "and we all have taste bugs!" sticks out tongue to display.
Me: can't help but giggle, I know one day I will miss this but right now I would lick caffeine off the floor!
