Well it isn't frequent anymore but I feel the need to log our day today, we enjoyed an amazing Canada day here in Granville Island possibly the last for some time since the new city we will be living in has an array of it's own Canada day celebrations and events we may have to take advantage of for our festivities next year and possibly many more to follow. We enjoyed the parade, the music, some cultural shows, as well as some interesting tastes of Vancouver. Of course Kev and I could have stayed all day and indulged in lobster bakes and roasted corn on the cob but the boys felt drawn to parks and entertaining juggling shows. The afternoon came to it's end when the sun & fun had left our Monkeys needing shade and quiet to neutralize so we have returned and are awaiting some of our favorite Bella Pizza. I find we are indulging a little more frequently and savoring the last of our days as Vancouverites before we join the clan of people who remember the days when they considered Granville Island and such locations to be their back yard. Of course the flip side will be we actully have a back yard among many other incredible amenties we have forgone to enjoy this city as long as we have.
I just read all that back and laughed out loud because it definitly would leave you with the impression that our day was somehow all warm and fuzzy so to keep it real and not blog it beautiful (or completely fake) add a visual image or poking, yelling, crying and fighting in between every image you see below and crossing of arms at the crossroads of the path from the Island and adamantly refgusing to leave (A 5:he told us we could leave but he was not) then sobbing the entire walk to our messy little apartment and than the truth will prevail!!!
Mommy needs a beverage!
Hope you are all enjoying/surviving your days events.
