Magic Moments

I will begin with an apology for the super cheesy title to this post but sometime here in the land of the lovely monkeys something magical happens and I get to write a little post that doesn't revolve around bodily fluids or functions, embarrassment or sibling torture and well when that happens I can be as gushy as the next guy/momma/person... anyways...I got to enjoy one of these rare moments tonight when A age 6 and were blessed to curl up on the deck, under a large warm blanket sharing a big bowl of hot popcorn while the sky gave us a beautiful meteor show.
I did have a brief moment when I looked over at my boy with his blond haired head peeking out over the wrapped folds of our blanket with the excitement mixed with a sleepy daze in his big blue eyes and I thought 'get your camera' but instead of leaping to my feet to document this so brief moment, I didn't, I just curled in put my head back beside his and turned my eyes up to the sky to marvel at the greatness of the sky and of the moment. Magic.

I know I will remember tonight forever and I can't help but hope he will too.
