Easter has brought with it an array of interesting requests and statements. I am wondering if it may be part of the reason parents 'celebrate' a little more on the holidays. I'm pretty sure what I am about to write is completely inappropriate in many circle but I'm gonna say it anyway. I wish Jesus where here so he could multiply this wine so I wouldn't have to get up!
anyways on with it hey...
the Easter bunny did in fact hippity hop his way to our house this year after many threats to our offspring that if they did not in fact go to bed, listen to their mother and/or do what they were told the bunny and all his magical chocolate would not be comming this year.
I would like to thank the Lord for bribery and threats wihtout them I would have lost this parenting game long, long ago!
anyway...
A age 6: awoke to find the planet earth videos a child size gardening set and the beginnings of the chocolate egg hunt (mayhem) in his room and after beginning to watch the first of the 5 videos turns to Kev and says "Daddy this came from the Easter bunny! That must be the Easter bunny's voice!" so if anyone is in ear shot of my 6 year old could you please up hold the fact that the Easter bunny is in fact narrating the Planet Earth series (If for no other reason it's giving Kev and I a really good chuckle!)
A age 6: Easter morning while playing with the cat asks "do you think the Easter Bunny has a pet?"
anybody want to take a swing at that one? all I could come up with was "hmmm I wonder?" not as helpful as he would have liked!
G age 3 and 11/12:Easter Sunday Dinner Prayer...Eyes closed hands tightly clasped to his chest and face upturned towards the Heavens...
"God please send the Easter Bunny back with lots and lots of eggs, he can leave them on the clock and even on the stairs!"
good to see we have our priorities in order.
Sorry but here it comes...From the toilet (seriously did you think I could make it through a whole post without a little potty talk!?)
A age 6: "I wish the Easter Bunny was coming tomorrow. Can we make a time ship, and I mean a REAL ONE!?"
