hello out there...

Wow it appears I have been extremely blog neglectful these days not that the household antics have simmered any it just appears I haven't been as diligent in keeping the log. Oh and we have been here...(photo credit to A.)

...and my computer doesn't like it down here!

I am extremely happy to report we are settling in to our new community, we had our first crazy playdate filled with new friends and some really great Mom's today, making us feel a lot more at home. We have been busy with Vancouverites making the pilgrimage out of the city to check out our new spot, catching up on life's goings on (new schools etc) and enjoying some playtime.

A has successfully entered into Kindergarten, has a lovely teacher, some great kids in his class and if you ask him the coolest bike lock on the planet (it has a cobra head!!!) Priorities priorities!

G my studious little creature had a second intro session to warm up to his surrounding and brought out his engineer brain and thoroughly enjoyed the Montessori experience. Though I must admit to silently vowing in my brain during parent meeting to let him paint his body and roll on walls and promote him telling me creative lavish stories at bedtime because the left to right and top to bottom positioning of play items for learning purposes makes the artist in me squirm. I am sure this just felt more rigid in discussion than is practiced in reality at least I hope.

Kev is loving his non-commute and still enjoying his new career.

I have been in my makeshift studio lately doing a little maternity photography and will have a few images here to share with you soon of the beautiful blossoming bellies. I am excitedly awaiting the births of the little ones and greatly looking forward to baby snuggles.

But wait I won't let you go without a few black book entries to, well, hopefully entertain...

G age 3: in the car to Grammie and Grampie (after looking at mommy and daddy's and Auntie Robyn and Uncle Jason wedding pictures.)"I don't ever want to get married!" "I don't ever want to get married!"
(repeated a few times)
"I'ts Yuckky!... Daddy told me."

A age 5: see's Mom finding Dads finished cereal bowl by the computer and says "why does daddy leave his bowl there?"
me: "I don't know."
A: "I think he likes to make jobs for you."

K(daddy)age 31: after a day with the boys "Having kids is like having Mono!"

K (Daddy's doozy) age 31: during a discussion about having laser eye surgery in the future he explained to Brother and sister in law we now receive an extra sum of money per year from his medical plan towards elected surgery.
I jokingly say "I wonder what I should get done!" (meaning I don't wear glasses)
Kev responds:(while shaking one shoulder then the other) "One boob one year the next the other boob!"
Me: "what makes you think I would get boobs?"
Kevin: "what else do you need done?"
good to know!
